We would like to wish all of our hard working volunteers and community support system a very Happy Thanksgiving!
We are grateful for the time and encouragement that you have all brought to the table this year. Every season is different and this one has been no exception. Without the support of this kind, creative and committed group, it would have been a lot more difficult facing the challenges the 2019 season brought.
We hope you and your families have a wonderful holiday!
Volunteer With Us This Saturday!
New School Farm from 10am to 2pm

It may not look like much now, but the plot and hoop house above with be abundant with a wide variety of vegetables for our community next year.
Thanks to our continued partnership with and the generous donation of space by New School Farm, we will be the land stewards of the two plots above. This will increase our planting potential by over 1,400 square feet! We are excited by the possibilities of this new addition and know that this will allow us to feed more families in our community in 2020.
Volunteer this weekend:
Please join us this Saturday (11/30) from 10am to 2pm at New School Farm for preparing these plots for winter. We will be applying compost to both planting areas as well as preparing a bed of leaves for overwintering.
Dress well, it might be chilly. Warm drinks and homemade muffins are on the menu!
Bring a shovel and a rake if you can.
Directions:
New School Farm is located at 1635 West 26th Avenue in Spokane’s Vinegar Flats neighborhood. The best way to get there is to take Inland Empire way to 26th Avenue. Take a left (or head East) on 26th, follow it to the end and take a right on the last road/driveway. Curve around to the left and you’ll see the fenced farm area. Please park along the South side of the fence.
Exciting Changes Coming in 2020!
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for project updates, a look ahead at our third season and some exciting new community partnerships we have in store!
